With the Fall season really kicking off (brrr..it’s getting pretty cold here in the northeast!) and Thanksgiving almost upon us once again, I wanted to create a quick and cute little seasonal decoration piece to get your harvest mood going. 🙂 This fun design can be whipped up in minutes and only requires a small amount of cardstock paper, a cutting machine that allows for SVG files (such as the Silhouette Cameo), a battery operated tea-light candle, and a small amount of glue or tape! The lantern comes with four separately designed sides for more variation and an open top so that you may easily place your candle inside.
Here is the free Thanksgiving Lantern SVG cutting file you will need for this project.
The design is straightforward and simple – just load, cut, and glue or tape the side flaps to construct your festive new lantern! (Feel free to scale the design to your liking before cutting – I have mine sized so that it uses as much of the 12×12 inch cardstock paper as possible.)
